Recommended Places We Have Visited—
Samoa Boat Launch—Humboldt County Park— West of Eureka on SR 255 to the Samoa Peninsula. This is within a short distance of the city, the Samoa Dunes, the marina and the famous Samoa Cookhouse. This park is very affordable and has large spaces with killer views of the bay.
Samoa Cookhouse—Phone: 707-442-1659—Founded in the 1890s to feed the Rewood lumberjacks, this is a must see (eat) experience. The food is served "lumber camp style" and not even the biggest of eaters will go away hungry. There is a lumberjack museum and historic photos line the walls.
